BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Science & Applications was introduced in the year 1998. The Department imparts excellent technical education for the students in global changing and challenging technological world. It is a restructured course in combination with Physics, Mathematics,Commerce.

•To empower the students in the field of Computer Science with evolving technologies and to produce self-motivated, employable and responsible citizens to the society.

MISSION

•To accomplish higher studies by providing conducive Teaching –Learning and Research environment.

•To inculcate work ethics and commitment in students for their future endeavours to serve the society.

•To impart moral and ethical values and inter-personal skills to the students.

COURSES &  COMBINATIONS

The Computer subject is offered with different combinations as follows at UG level:

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DEPARTMENT

1.   Three well equipped Computer laboratories with Internet facility and LCD projector.

2.    Organizing Seminars, Guest and Extension lectures from local University, Affiliated Colleges and other Resource Persons.

3.    Organizing student Seminars, Elocutions, Group Discussions and Quiz programs to improve Communication and Technical Skills, and also encouraging students to  participate in Poster Presentations, PPTs, Seminars, Paper Presentations, Workshops and Projects.

4.    Using effective ICT teaching methods like Animated Pictures, Power Point Presentations and Visual Charts for easy understanding of students.

5.    Department imparts Computer Skills to Non-Computer students and Staff.

6.    Learning through MOOC’s is encouraged for students.
